The Day I Was Sexually Harassed In The Mall’s Bathroom

When I worked at Pakalolo, a famous Brazilian surf shop in the nineties, we dressed like this:

I know you can barely see me there in the middle (the first head that appears on the tennis rack, right in the center, is mine), but the point is: we wore flashy T-shirts from the store and shorts. You can’t even call it just “shorts.” They were really shorts, much shorter than the current ones.

Well…

One day I had to go to the mall’s bathroom. I excused myself and left. The bathroom had a huge “L” corridor. At the first vertex of the “L” was the entrance to the women’s restroom and, in the end, at the “L” extreme, was the door to the men’s bathroom.

I got into the “L” and made the turn, heading towards the men’s room. A guy came out of the bathroom. Seeing that I was approaching, he held the door open. “What a polite guy!” I thought. “It’s hard for someone to be kind today!” — and this because it was the nineties… — . I went to him. As I was walking through the door, about to say “thank you” for his kindness … I understood what your real motives were.

The boy grabbed “it.”

Exactly what you are thinking, buddy.

He caught it, looked me in the eye… And he ran away!
